Dr. Ashar Mahmood was born in a small village Kot Shahan on 23rd Dec, 1977. He belonged to proletariat family. When he was at the tender age of twelve years his father passed away. He devoted his life for his family. He passed his matriculation & intermediate in cumbersome circumstances and took admission for DHMS. After completion of studies he started his practice in concern field. The seed of empathy for suffering humanity were sown in his soul by his mother’s education. His personal hard circumstances made him, think about thousands and millions people suffering like his family. He had a vision to serve humanity & respond in emergency and he commenced social welfare by himself. In 1995 he took initiate with various social and medical organizations. In 2001 he had contested election of councilor by local Union Council and became Councilor. After a couple of years, he decided to establish a free dispensary for underprivileged , vulnerable and neglected people of society. After that he properly involved in philanthropy round the clock and started to serve mankind irrespective of the sex, caste, creed and race on non-communal basis. He had provided complete free medical and surgical services at doorsteps.
No doubt, by profession he was affiliated with medical but he worked on human rights and social welfare. He distributed Rashan (Food bags) to widows, orphans and empty-handed people. He was the ambassador of Peace coz his endeavor to sort out dispute in local communities. He conveyed the message of love, peace and humility. Due to his distinguish, mostly people invited him in social gatherings and inaugural ceremonies.
He consulted with his friends and decided to establish a welfare organization; named it as “Share Welfare Society, Pakistan” Although, Dr. Ashar Mahmood had Christian background, but he had prejudice-free mind on sensitive social and human rights issues. He had deceased on 16th June, 2020.
